Joe Abbin led a wonderful tour to Chimayo, New Mexico on October 27th, 2012.    The tour included Art and Betty's '39, Joe's Merc, Bob Agnew's 1951, Ron and Marilyn Gigger's pretty 1950,  and Jay and Helen's late model Thunderbird, and the obligatory truck and trailer provided by Jeff and Beth- which again luckily was not needed.  In addition to the owners, several guests accompanied the group including Kathleen with Joe; Michael and Frank Corey rode with Bob; while Jo Loring rode with Ron and Marilyn.

The Chimayo tour was a blast.  Beautiful weather, beautiful cars, lots of colorful (actually all yellow) leaves and several excellent "rides around the block" (planned and otherwise). Marco and Pat Oviedo were great hosts. Lunch at the Rancho de Chimayo was outstanding.

Joe's Mercury ran like a champ and averaged 17 mpg for the 227 mile mountain tour.  Bob Agnew claimed the record with 20+ mpg.
