Lou Gorenz was born on April 8, 1930 in Staunton, Illinois. He married the lovely Mary Faichney in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1954. They lived in Ft. Worth for several years where Lou worked for Big Three and then were transferred to Albuquerque. They also lived in California for several years.. When they left California, Lou drove the ‘40 Ford and pulled a trailer and Mary drove a ‘55 Mercury and pulled a trailer. They drove theough Salt River Canyon in Arizona about 10:30-11:00 at night. This was a two lane road with lots of switchbacks. When they reached the top of the canyon they pulled over and Mary gave Lou a tongue lashing after nearly fainting in his arms. Lou and Mary have six children, three bous and three girls, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. This makes for very large family gatherings. They are long time members of the Tumbleweed V8 Club and have been strong participants. Lou’s favorite car is their beautiful 1940 Tudor Deluxe that they bought in Fullerton, California for $150 in 1956.

Note: Lou passed in 2022 and Mary passed in 2023. We all have great memories of them both and they are truly missed.
