2025 November President’s Message - Joe Abbin
The November 4th meeting will be held at our regular spot, the North Domingo Baca Multi-generational Center, one block north of Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte. Last month Larry Azevedo continued his series about Henry Ford, taking up where Henry started selling cars. Larry is an expert on telling this fascinating genius’ story. His presentation included a replica model of Henry’s first internal combustion engine.
This month we will have our election of next year’s officers. See ballot in this newsletter. Thanks to all who care and are willing to volunteer as officers of the club. Send in, or phone in your ballot choices if you can’t make the meeting. Write-ins are OK.
Also this month we will have our model car show with professional judges from the Albuquerque Model Car Club! Wow! Please bring your favorite auto-related toys, home built or store bought models, etc. to show off. Some examples of potential car show entries are shown in the picture. Hot Wheels and pedal cars are also welcome! Wahoo!
At the top is a ceramic Jim Beam whiskey decanter, then a scratch built hot rod I built as a boy over 70 years ago, then a 1:24 die cast 1940 Ford coupe and a 1:48 scale die cast 1940’s Austin police car. Diversity welcome! Flathead powered get extra credit.
